good morning my beautiful friends!!!! we made a quick trip up to see my Momma yesterday and it was misty when we left and raining cats and dogs when we headed home. rivers and creeks were bank to bank with nowhere for the excess to go. fields looked like lakes and ponds. we are supposed to have another 3 to 5 inches or more from friday to sunday. it will be devastating to some. we are on higher ground, so that shouldn't be a worry for us. but if trees start uprooting and falling on power lines, then that could be an issue for us. we'll just have to wait it out and see what happens. and just pray that God will keep us all safe from the flooding. I know the greenway here has been flooded and I'm pretty sure some of it is still under water, probably more water by now. I'm sure once winter is over and summer gets upon us, we'll be wishing for some of this rain.
I planted some tomato seeds and pepper seeds the other day and all my tomatoes are up and about an inch and a half tall and most of them are putting on their first set of permanent leaves. I'm so tickled about that and I'll be happy when the peppers start popping up too. shouldn't be too long now. I'm getting the itch to plant more and more and more................hahaha. but I'll have to wait. won't be too long now though. woohoo!!!

it's "giggle for the day time":

today we pick up at 2 Chronicles 19. we see that the king of Judah had set his heart to seek God. that's the second time we've seen this phrase. I think is just a good reminder that we would all do well to se our hearts to seek God. can we even begin to imagine if we all done that. what kind of world would this be? I think it would be a much better place. king Jehoshaphat had set out to reform Judah and do as the Lord had commaned earlier on, back with king David.
"do not fear, for the battle is not yours but the Lords!!!" ".........stand and watch the salvation of the Lord!!" these are 2 phrases that we all long to hear when trouble comes. and if we stay grounded in the word of God, these are 2 phrase that we can use for ourselves. I know that what ever battle I'm in, it's God's to fight for me and I know that God has provided my salvation thru the shed blood of His Son, Jesus Christ.
for some reason or another we always can get ourselves in trouble by the company we keep. that's not me making a judgement call, that's what God says. the king of Judah allied himself with the king of Israel and that displeased God. so we need to be careful who we make friends with.
Joash was 7 years old when took the seat of king. he ruled and in the end of his rule, he left the ways of God. then more kings and more kings and a king filled with pride separates them from God once again. more kings and the Hezekiah becomes king and he done what was right in the eyes of God.
well pick up in 2 Chronicles Chapter 29 next time.

I don't have any cooking or anything good to share as of the moment, but hang with me for a day or two and we'll see what we can come up with. I pray that everyone has a wonderful day today and let's remember to seek the heart of God in all that we do. blessings of joy and peace be upon us all. hugs and love, patty
