Bible Study and breakfast patties

good morning beautiful ones.       I hope you had a wonderful night of rest and are ready to face the day with a bounce in your step.        I'll have more bounce in my step when we get the morning walk behind us.        hahaha         I don't know what all we'll get into today, but if we keep God in it, it will be a great day.       it's supposed to be a wet day, so we'll see what comes from it.       I may see if I can get some of my pots filled with container soil so I'll have them ready to put seeds in when the right time rolls around.        I'm getting the desire to stick seeds in my containers.        hahaha        I'm trying to rush and get thru to the end of spring while we're still in mid winter.      somedays it feels like winter, some days it feels like spring and some days even feel like summer.      what ever the day brings, we'll try to make the best of it.        that sounds like a pretty good plan, so lets get busy y'all.

--------------

so lets do a really quick "2 minutes in the kitchen with me".          this is one of the things that I got done the other day.           it's a dozen of the breakfast patties that I make for my husband.          not only are they good for breakfast, but they are a quick meal, if I need something in a hurry.       they're very easy to make and pretty quick, once you get your process worked out.

it's all about finding what works for you and this works works very well for my hubby.         once I get them made and baked,  I let them cool off and put 1 to a flip top sandwich bag and then I put 2 of those in a freezer zip top bag and in they go to freezer camp.        I pull a bag out at a time and that way no more than 2 are thawing in the fridge at a time.         one thing I have to do is try to keep rolls baked.   now that's a real situation when I have the patties and no rolls to put them on.        hahaha        it doesn't happen very often, but it does happen.         so I have to stay on my toes at all times.         it's a juggling act keeping my breakfast and his breakfast going at all times.        hahaha          but it's a good juggling act.          we both have what we love and enjoy and what's good for us.         that's what it's all about.

---------------

picking up in 1 Kings Chapter 17 we meet Elijah, the prophet.       and what a man of God he is.        he's a breath of fresh air considering the kings we have been reading about.         every once in a while a good man comes along and Elijah was one of those good godly men.          flour bowl and oil jar.        2 common household ingredients, but to a poor woman, they were hard to come by.         but God!!!!         a dead son.       but God!!!!!!          Elisha's God versus Ahab's god.         who wins?         it's no contest, Elisha's God wins hands down.        but God!!!!!          the Lord, He is God!!!!!!!         Elijah was afraid of Jezebel, Ahab's wife.         she threatened to kill Elijah.        she was an evil and wicked woman.       so Elijah flees  and he asked the Lord to just take his life now.           sometimes the things going on around us are so loud that we can't hear when God is with us.         God wasn't in the powerful wind, God wasn't in the earthquake, but He was in the small wind like breeze that blew.         what are we listening for, someone loud and threatening, or are we listening for God in the stillness around us.        God is not in confusion at all, so if you're trying to listen to Him, get away from chaos and noise and make yourself available to the still small voice.         with a lot wars and fights between kings, Elijah is finally taken up by God in a whirlwind, but not before giving Elisha a double portion of his spirit.      God granted that by Elisha being with Elijah and seeing him taken up in the whirlwind.        one good man leaves and another good man is ready to pick up where he left off.       be careful of making fun of a bald headed man, it could cost you your life.          just a good reminder to teach children to be respectful to their elders.        that's not  done now a days.       children aren't taught respect for anyone or anything.        mostly because children have parents that weren't taught to respect others.        you can't  teach something you know nothing about.

next time we'll pick up at 2 Kings Chapter 3.

well, I hope everyone has a blessed day today and that we remember to keep God first in all things.       I don't know what we'll get into today, but if it's exciting, I'll share it with y'all.          don't hold your breath though.        hahaha.       oh well, we never know what might happen.        in all things, let's be grateful and thank God for the day.         blessings y'all.       hugs and love, patty
