good morning y'all. it's another cold one here in my neck of the woods. I don't know what it's gonna take for it to warm up around here. but it rains and stays gloomy and the temps drop and I'm ready for spring. I don't know I've said that today or not, so I'll say it again, to make myself perfectly clear. I'm ready for spring. we have more rain coming over the weekend with a possibility of snow. then next week several days our high will be well below freezing. yay, just what I want. I'm afraid it's gonna kill my garlic. I just keep praying that God will bless my efforts.
all of my tomatoes in my 2 hydroponics are up and putting on the first true leaves. I'm thrilled about that, and 1 of my pepper plants is actually up today too. so at least I've got a little greenery going on to remind me that it won't always be freezing cold. woohoo!!! I got out my seeds today and went thru them and made my list of what I'm going to plant and what I'm going to plant in. so even if it's too cold to be out doing something, I can be inside doing something. when it does get nicer, I'll have my list of what I want to do and that will go a long way towards getting my garden started.

we are picking up in 2 Chronicles Chapter 29. Hezekiah became king and he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord. the temple was cleansed and worship was restored. not only was worship restored, so was the Feast of the Passover. and Hezekiah invited all of Israel to participate, and to return to God. they removed all the idols and they brought contributions and tithes to the temple. everything that Hezekiah done was good in the eyes of the Lord and all he done, he done with his heart. Hezekiah was betrayed by another king, but Hezekiah prayed about this and the Lord sent an angel to destroy all the warriors, commanders and officers in the camp of the ones who had betrayed him. he was successful in everything he did. his son became king after him.
Hezekiah's son undone everything that he had done. Manasseh rebuilt all the high places, set up alters for idol worship of baal. he did evil in the sight of the Lord. he practiced witchcraft and killed his own child by passing thru the fire. his son Amon became king after him.
it seems that we'll have a king that does goes good and right in the eyes of God and then his son and generations after him does as evil and wicked as they possibly can. one is worse than the next one. it's kinda like what we see today. one person in power is worse than the next until it gets so bad that we say it can't possibly get any worse, but then it does get worse. far too many people willing and able to help the devil in all his evil and wicked schemes. we're seeing it all over the world. the devil knows that his days are fewer and fewer in number, so he's ramping up the wickedness and he has plenty of people to do his dirty work. I don't know what it will take for us to wake up and see what's going on. those of us who do see what's happening don't have a voice, so there's nothing we can do but watch and pray.
along comes Josiah and he does right in the eyes of the Lord and he restores worship and tears down all the high places and and all the evil things that the previous kings since Hezekiah had allowed. he restores the temple and makes a covenant with the Lord to follow Him and Josiah reinstates the Passover again. Josiah is killed in battle and his son was made king and then there was a few more bad kings and then we go into Ezra.
the book of Ezra shows us that God kept His word, the temple is important to God as well as proper worship. it also shows us that when we remain faithful to God, He will continue to bless us. we are living in a time when we need to remain faithful to God, more now than ever. our times are perilous, almost to the point of biblical proportions and we need to draw close to God and stay there, that's where we will find safety.
we'll pick up in Ezra next time.

I hope and pray that we all have a wonderful day today. let's remember to seek the heart of God in all that we do. we can never do anything better than that. may I always be found seeking the heart of God. tell someone you know that God loves them. blessings of comfort and peace be ours today. hugs and love, patty
