Bible Study and a little bit of this and that

good morning y'all!!!!!            guess what?          if you guessed more rain, you win!!!!          we had another 2 or 3 inches yesterday, making about 8 and a half or 9 inches so far.         I think I noticed I'm starting to grow gills.        I don't know what that means, but it may mean I'm turning aquatic or something.        hahahaha           just wells to laugh as to cry.         and I am so thankful that God's hand of protection has been on us.          I continue to pray for His safety during this bad weather that we've been having.         I did get some breakfast patties in the freezer for my husband yesterday, so that's not a total loss.         I'm thrilled to have gotten done.         I need to get my breakfast jars made for me too, this morning is the last breakfast jar I have, so I may need to whip up some of those today.        also, I got all my garden seedling starts taken back to the garage and put in the sprout house.        we're going to have 3 or 4 nights below freezing, so I needed to get them back in the garage.         I also noticed that my hydroponic unit with strawberry seeds in it has 3 or 4 that has actually sprouted.        I'm so thrilled, I hope and pray that others sprout also.     I was just looking on friday to see how long it took for strawberry seeds to sprout and it said between 12 and 48 days.          so mine was started on March 28th and I'm thinking that's pretty good for mine to be sprouting already.         woohoo!!!         I'm looking forward to getting some of my garden going.         what are you doing in your garden?

A - It smells like carrots over here!

picking up with Ezekiel Chapter 21,             even during the toughest times, God's purpose prevails.      what may look like chaos to us, is the divine purpose of God.         we must trust God's plan even when we don't understand it.           is that easy to do?   absolutely not, but we pray and give our fears and any unbelief to God.          God is impartial and asks us to live holy lives and to seek His mercy.         again, continue to seek after the heart of God in every thing we do.          God's message is hard to share but that's we're called to do, with compassion.          live a life that honors Christ and live a life that is awaiting His return.          God is in control of everything, regardless of what it looks like with our eyes, His purpose will come out on top every time.

Ezekiel 22,           sin carries a heavy consequence and sinful nations will face God's judgement.         we need to stand in the gap where we see need, injustice and unrighteousness.          God will judge any nation that focuses on corruption, idolatry and moral decay.         I think we are living in these times for sure.          when perversion of all kinds is accepted in main stream life as normal, something is very wrong.        all these perverted ways of life, God has called an abomination and if we support this perversion, we are NOT Christians and we count on being judged just like the nation that Ezekiel was speaking Gods words to.         wicked leaders are responsible for what they expect from the community at large.         if they support perversion, then that's what they push.        no matter what is forced upon us, we as Christians have to live lives of integrity and we must pray for our leaders.          we need to be interceders through prayer and our actions for those around us.         work for a society that reflects the love of God and justice.

Ezekiel 23,          we have a relationship with God and we must keep that pure.        some were committing spiritual adultery.         we have to keep our commitment to God pure and make sure our actions reflects that purity.         we must be vigilant in our modern day influences of idols that can take us away from our relationship with God.         we are set apart, to live holy lives for God.         if the way we  live  looks  like  the  rest of  the world, then there is nothing holy about us and we are living a fools life.        repentance is the first step towards reconciliation and renewal.

Ezekiel 24,          to serve God calls for personal sacrifice.        sometimes that personal sacrifice is hard to bare, but we have to be willing to serve God.         personal sacrifice will be something that we are all familiar with at some point in time.         during times of loss we have to realize that Gods purposes are for our good and His glory.         God will be glorified.          God's discipline is an expression of His love.           even in discipline, He offers hope of reconciliation thru repentance.

Ezekiel 25,           God's justice is impartial, even thru His love for us.          those who harm God's people will face divine judgement.          we can count on that.         when people take pride and joy over the suffering of God's people, you can trust that they will be dealing with God's divine judgement.        trust that God sees all injustice that's taking place and He will deal with it.        people had taken great pleasure in the downfall of Israel.         make sure that we are not taking pleasure in the downfall of others.        pray for nations and leaders asking God to guide them in making the right decisions.        God is in control of all of history, past present and future, find peace in knowing that God has it all worked out already.

next time we pick up at Ezekiel Chapter 26.

---------------------------------

well, I think this is just about it for the day.         may we all be blessed and know that God is in control of absolutely everything.        I pray that we all have a great day today.          pray for those that you know are hurting and in pain.          please pray for a friend of mine who's husband has been put in hospice home care because there's no way they can help him.          he actually opted out of them trying to help him.          just pray for him and his wife as they go thru this journey together.        pray for God's mercy on both of them.       blessings of peace and mercy be ours today.

hugs and love, patty

Bible Study and breakfast patties

good morning wonderful friends.         I hope you had a great night of refreshing rest and ready to make a difference in your part of the world today.        rest is something that's hard to come these days.        it seems like there are more things than ever to steal our time and also our rest time.         we tend to think we can rest anytime, but when we leave no time for rest, that's when we fall apart.       so I hope we all make rest a priority and that we can make better decisions about our time.       I have a hard time saying no and even putting myself on my list of things to take care of.       but I have to say, I'm getting better at it.        I realize not that I don't have to do everything in a days time.        it will get done when I get to it, I'm not being lazy at all.        just trying to give myself some time to rest.         you do the same.          I heard the train go by earlier, and I found myself wondering if the conductor of that train ever rests while on the train.        then I found myself stressing over it hoping that he stays alert and watches what he's doing.    that makes for a stressful morning for me.      no rest for me all day.        hahaha         so instead of worrying about the conductor, I started praying for him.        may not have done anything for him, but it sure made my morning better.         just speaking life over him made me feel better.        sometimes it's just that simple to change ones perspective.          now, I can move on with my day.       hahaha

---------------------------

let's do it, "2 minutes in the kitchen.......".              I couldn't remember if I had shared these or not, but if I have, I'm sorry.          if not, then I hope it's something you can use.          these are my 4 inch walfos muffin tops pans from amazon.          I use these for a lot of things and this is one of them.           I'll cut up cheese slices and put 2 strips in each divit.         3 whole slices per tray.          with half of a cheese slice in each divit, cut into  6 pieces and spaced evenly on the bottom.           then I'll use 9 sausage links cut into 4 pieces per link.      I'll put 6 pieces per divit.          then I'll scramble 3 eggs and 4 tablespoons of water and pour over the cheese and sausage and bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 25 minutes and let them cool.         then I'll bag them in fliptop sandwich bags and then put 2 per ziplock freezer bag and put in the freezer.          easy to thaw and pot in a skillet and heat them up while the bread is toasting in the oven.         they are delicious.

I hope this is something that might come in handy for you.

------------------------------------

it's time for our little "giggle for the day":

Q - What do you call a lion with no eyes?

A - Lon.

😂😂😂

you know you giggled just a little bit.   I know you did.     hahahaha

---------------------------

we're starting with the book of Proverbs today.

Chapter 1 tells us the purpose of this book is for wisdom and understanding.           without these 2 things, we'll never know the heart of God.           without wisdom and understanding we'll never have a firm grasp for what truth is.         truth is NOT what I say truth is.         truth is what God says truth is.  we can't live righteous lives without wisdom and understanding.         the world is always trying to set snares for us to get trapped in and if we don't know what truth is, then we'll get caught in the devils snares.        if our parents are Christians, they can be counted on for wise counsel.         seek friends that will share wisdom and knowledge and truth with you.

Chapter 2 tells us to look for wisdom like we're looking for treasure.         it's important for us to know the value of wisdom and knowledge.        wisdom and knowledge usually comes from making mistakes or if we're blessed, it can come from learning from other peoples mistakes.        it's important to seek it and not stop till we find it.       are you listening to the word of God in your life?         this is the treasure, the word of God, which is more valuable than anything else on the planet.

Chapter 3, in verse 5 we see this: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding."       why?       why do you think we see this?        because if our understanding is not based solely on the wisdom and knowledge from God, our understanding can and will get us in trouble, not just a little trouble, but a lot.        our understanding changes from one breath to the next and sometimes, even when we are trusting in God with our whole heart, we can still get ourselves in trouble when we go by how we feel about something.        our feelings change, the word of God never changes,  that's something I know.        do you live by how you feel or by what you know for a fact?        the answer to that is very important.

Chapter 4, shows that if we are chasing after wisdom we will be guarding our heart from evil and wicked ways.        it seems as if the world is chasing after evil and wicked ways.        our lives will mirror what we invest our time in.        wisdom is the guiding force of our lives, or it should be.       if it isn't, we're seeking after the wrong things.        most fathers can and will pass on wisdom to their children, but the children have got be teachable or inclined to learn from their father.        I realize some people don't have earthly fathers worth listening to for life instruction.         seek out someone you know who does have godly wisdom and try to learn from that person.

Chapter 5, this is where the rubber meets the road for a lot of people.       lots of people have fallen victim to adultery.        even David did.         that doesn't make it right.        however you look at it, it's a sin and nothing less than that.       if you're married, you took those wedding vows.        sexual immorality is of the enemy and he knows how to seduce people.        so, we have to guard our heart and forget our own understanding.        we will get ourselves in trouble every time.

Chapter 6, is telling us about working and making a living and not being lazy and slothful.        also about not backing other peoples financial deals.       work hard, earn what you have, pay your debts, don't co-sign other peoples debts unless you want to be left paying it off.

real life case example: many years ago, I took a young lady that I worked with to the local furniture store.        I knew the owner of the store, and had known him all my life because that's where my parents shopped and all my brothers that had gotten married and then even my husband and I after we got married.        she wanted to go, and I took her one evening when we got off from work.        she was looking a small little stereo and she wanted it so bad.       the owner tried his best to get me to co-sign for her.        I told her, "look, I love you, but you can save the money and pay cash for it, or you can get it with your own name".        the man heard everything I said, and I looked at him and said, "I'm not signing for her. I have my own debts to pay and I'm not going to pay off someone else's debt".        I just told her to take her time and I'll be in the car when she makes her decision.        had I not just a little bit of wisdom, I would have co-signed for her and then been responsible for her payments if she decided not to make them.       this man even told my father what had happened.       he thought I should have signed for her.         but my father said that I, his daughter, had learned well.

Chapter 7, shows us the and warns us against temptation and how dangerous it is when we give in to temptation.         one of the best ways to avoid temptation is to not let ourselves get in a place where we can be tempted.         a scripture in the New Testament says to avoid all appearance of evil.       if something is tempting to you, more than likely it's not what you should be doing.        even if it's not tempting to you, why would want to risk it becoming a temptation.       temptation can lead to death.      seek after the heart of God in all that we do.       I don't drink.      I'm not a goody 2 shoes, I just know I don't need to be around alcohol because of the temptation.         so if I go somewhere with a friend, I need to know up front if there will be alcohol, if the friend I'm with will be drinking and so on.       if that friend says they might drink, I don't go.         the people in my life that know me, will not ever put me in a situation where I might be tempted.       when I became a Christian, it became very apparent that I would have to change friends and I did.       a lot of people in my life have come and gone over the years, but the ones who have stayed there are the ones who look after me and the ones who I can look after, by avoiding the temptations that we each have in our lives.        we all need people who help us, but who will also help us quietly.       we don't to have to tell another soul that this friend has a problem or could possibly have a problem.         I'll tell on myself before I'll tell on a cherished friend.

Chapter 8, "The  fear of the  Lord is to hate  evil; pride, arrogance, the evil way, the perverted mouth.......", these are evil.        the writer tells us that wisdom is to be sought after!!!!         those who seek after wisdom hate evil.          what about the perverted mouth?         my take on that is this: if you keep on telling nasty, hateful, despicable, cursing, blasphemous things with your mouth after you have say you have accepted Christ as Savior, you may  need to rethink whether you actually got saved or not.

Chapter 9, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom!!!       there is a big difference between the wise and fools.         wise seek after understanding and knowledge from God, the fool has said in his heart there is no God.         the godly person has to make a decision between being wise and being a fool.

Chapter 10, notice all the contrasts between righteousness and wickedness.        just one prime example is the fact that a righteous person knows how to build another person up with the words they speak.      the wicked person only tears people down with their words.         there is either life or death that comes from out mouths.        who we belong to determines whether we speak life or death.         may we be found speaking life over people instead of death.         do you make fun of people?        you may be speaking death over someone then.        that's how easy it is to be a fool.

next time we pick up at chapter 11.

--------------------------------------

I guess that's it for the day.          I hope and pray that we are all seeking after wisdom and knowledge from God.         I pray that we will all be found seeking after the heart of God in all things.         we won't go wrong, that's for sure.         I hope we all have a great day that we remember to thank God for allowing us to be a part of it.          blessings of favor and wisdom be ours.

hugs and love, patty

Bible Study and a project from start to finish

good morning from my soggy, soaked, snow covered neck of the woods.         you know what they say, if you don't like the weather, wait a couple of minutes  and it will change.        first we get flooding and next we get snow and who knows what it will be before the day is over, I sure don't, but I'm happy to be a part of this awesome day.        I hope everyone has a most lovely day and that we thank God for it.

------------

I finally got some pics of the just about the whole process of making my eggs, cheese and sausage patties for my husband's breakfast.         he loves these and I have to say that I do too.

the first thing is the cheese.        I'll fold each slice of cheese in half on top of itself and then I'll take my scissors and cut 3 stack of 2 in each well on my little baking thingies.        once I get all 3 slices of cheese cut and in the little wells, I'll separate each little stack of 2 cheese slices and spread them evenly over the bottom.        while I'm doing that, I 'll have the sausage links in the mircowave, thawing them out.        once they are thawed, I'll make 4 long sticks out of each sausage link.

once I get them all cut, I'll start putting 6 sticks in each well, directly over the cheese.        and by the way, I got these silicone baking pans from amazon.       these are the 4 inch ones.         they are also the ones that I use to bake my brioche buns in and that them from rising too much and getting large then my patties.

you can put them in there however you want to, I just try to get good spacing and go back and adjust as necessary.

once I get the sausages in, it's time to crack and beat the eggs.       I'll use 3 eggs per tray and also about 3 to 4 tablespoons of water to beat the eggs with.      then I'll pour as evenly as possible in each well.

this is both trays baked and finished.        once they cool, I'll take them out and put them in fliptop sandwich bags and then I'll put 2 of those in my freezer zip top bags.

this will make 12 breakfasts for my husband or less if we use them as a quick and easy meal sometimes when we've been busy.       however we use them, they are delicious and paired with one of my homemade brioche buns, it's a great meal.      once you get your routine down pat for making these, it goes pretty quickly.       I can get these done in about 30 minutes.       when the first tray is in the oven baking, I'm finishing up on the second tray getting it ready to go in when the first tray is done.      I bake them for 25 minutes each tray at 350*.       while the first tray is in the oven, it takes me about 5 minutes to get the second tray finished up and sitting by the oven, waiting to go in.  by the time the first one is done, I've already got the  kitchen cleaned up and moved on to the next project, while the second one bakes.     I hope this gives you some ideas on quick and easy breakfasts.

time for the "giggle for the day":

why was Cinderella so bad at soccer?

she kept running away from the ball!

😅😅😅

-------------

starting in Nehemiah today, we see that one person can make a difference.       we see what restoration looks like.          we live in such an intimidating world these days and everyone has an opinion, whether you asked for it or not, you'll get it and in a most hateful and vulgar way.       one person who serves a mighty God, can and will make a difference.       one person, who serves a might God and who stresses the importance of prayer can and will make a difference.         Nehemiah led by example.        Nehemiah was a leader with perseverance, who faced intimidating opposition.        he faced all kinds of opposition while leading the efforts to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.        the walls were for protection, but some people have a tendency to think walls are a bad idea.      maybe, maybe not.        any good wall will have an equally good door in it.      walls keep the unwanted out, and doors will let wanted in.        it all depends on the who.        Nehemiah identified the need and that was rebuilding the wall and then he sought the help of God.       Nehemiah set himself up for success in those ways.        identifying the need and seeking God's help.       Nehemiah wanted to bring order, stability and proper focus on God.        that sounds like a dream plan for today, doesn't it.

what a world it would be to bring order, stability and proper focus on God back.         we've kicked God out of so many places, even our churches are missing God, because He's not welcome there anymore.     one thing we see is the faithfulness of God in protecting His people and He wants their faithfulness in their worship.         I can assure you, that God wants our faithfulness in worship.       I challenge us all to remain faithful the calling that God has on our lives and to face opposition with courage, knowing that no matter happens, it's God ordained and He's with us.         Nehemiah was a man of prayer who led the people of Israel to prayer.         are we a people of prayer?        are we dedicated to leading other people to be a people of prayer?       Nehemiah called the people to people to unity.        how many of us live in a country that is unified?         not many of us do.         there are so many people in every country on this planet who are here for one reason and one reason only, and that is make sure there is NO unity!!!    we all know this is true, we see it every time we watch the news.       it's fair to say that if there was unity anywhere on the face of the planet, the media wouldn't share it and if they did, they would lie about it, so there's that.       but Nehemiah was about unity.       just as I was typing this, "unity in the community" come to mind.         look at the last 5 letters in the word community, it's unity.       I wonder if that has any significance?           maybe, maybe not.      it would be nice if there was unity in doing the Lord's work, but these days, that's not possible.         simply because of all the sin and heinous activities that has been brought into the church, not by God, but by the godless heathen that have control over the churches today.        if you go to church, you know what I mean.        the church doors have been flung wide open to all the homosexuals and they're now behind the pulpit of a lot of churches.        if it's not homosexuals, it's women behind the pulpits, that's another disgrace altogether.        we have missed the mark for so many years now, that I don't know if the church will ever be more than a glorified saloon or dance hall or the next great social club.        there's very little worship that goes on and shame on us!!!   what will we do about it?

we'll pick back up in Nehemiah next time.

---------------------

well, I guess we'll call it good for today and hopefully we all have a wonderful day.        let's remember to seek the heart of God in all we do.       it will make a difference in how act and react to the situations that arise.      have a great day.       hugs and love, patty

Bible Study and breakfast patties

good morning beautiful ones.       I hope you had a wonderful night of rest and are ready to face the day with a bounce in your step.        I'll have more bounce in my step when we get the morning walk behind us.        hahaha         I don't know what all we'll get into today, but if we keep God in it, it will be a great day.       it's supposed to be a wet day, so we'll see what comes from it.       I may see if I can get some of my pots filled with container soil so I'll have them ready to put seeds in when the right time rolls around.        I'm getting the desire to stick seeds in my containers.        hahaha        I'm trying to rush and get thru to the end of spring while we're still in mid winter.      somedays it feels like winter, some days it feels like spring and some days even feel like summer.      what ever the day brings, we'll try to make the best of it.        that sounds like a pretty good plan, so lets get busy y'all.

--------------

so lets do a really quick "2 minutes in the kitchen with me".          this is one of the things that I got done the other day.           it's a dozen of the breakfast patties that I make for my husband.          not only are they good for breakfast, but they are a quick meal, if I need something in a hurry.       they're very easy to make and pretty quick, once you get your process worked out.

it's all about finding what works for you and this works works very well for my hubby.         once I get them made and baked,  I let them cool off and put 1 to a flip top sandwich bag and then I put 2 of those in a freezer zip top bag and in they go to freezer camp.        I pull a bag out at a time and that way no more than 2 are thawing in the fridge at a time.         one thing I have to do is try to keep rolls baked.   now that's a real situation when I have the patties and no rolls to put them on.        hahaha        it doesn't happen very often, but it does happen.         so I have to stay on my toes at all times.         it's a juggling act keeping my breakfast and his breakfast going at all times.        hahaha          but it's a good juggling act.          we both have what we love and enjoy and what's good for us.         that's what it's all about.

---------------

picking up in 1 Kings Chapter 17 we meet Elijah, the prophet.       and what a man of God he is.        he's a breath of fresh air considering the kings we have been reading about.         every once in a while a good man comes along and Elijah was one of those good godly men.          flour bowl and oil jar.        2 common household ingredients, but to a poor woman, they were hard to come by.         but God!!!!         a dead son.       but God!!!!!!          Elisha's God versus Ahab's god.         who wins?         it's no contest, Elisha's God wins hands down.        but God!!!!!          the Lord, He is God!!!!!!!         Elijah was afraid of Jezebel, Ahab's wife.         she threatened to kill Elijah.        she was an evil and wicked woman.       so Elijah flees  and he asked the Lord to just take his life now.           sometimes the things going on around us are so loud that we can't hear when God is with us.         God wasn't in the powerful wind, God wasn't in the earthquake, but He was in the small wind like breeze that blew.         what are we listening for, someone loud and threatening, or are we listening for God in the stillness around us.        God is not in confusion at all, so if you're trying to listen to Him, get away from chaos and noise and make yourself available to the still small voice.         with a lot wars and fights between kings, Elijah is finally taken up by God in a whirlwind, but not before giving Elisha a double portion of his spirit.      God granted that by Elisha being with Elijah and seeing him taken up in the whirlwind.        one good man leaves and another good man is ready to pick up where he left off.       be careful of making fun of a bald headed man, it could cost you your life.          just a good reminder to teach children to be respectful to their elders.        that's not  done now a days.       children aren't taught respect for anyone or anything.        mostly because children have parents that weren't taught to respect others.        you can't  teach something you know nothing about.

next time we'll pick up at 2 Kings Chapter 3.

-------------

well, I hope everyone has a blessed day today and that we remember to keep God first in all things.       I don't know what we'll get into today, but if it's exciting, I'll share it with y'all.          don't hold your breath though.        hahaha.       oh well, we never know what might happen.        in all things, let's be grateful and thank God for the day.         blessings y'all.       hugs and love, patty
