good morning y'all!!! I hope you had a calm and peaceful night last night. we did and for that, I'm grateful. they were calling for bad weather in the night, but we may have it this morning or some time today. I don't want it anytime, so I just pray for God's protection over us and it looks like I may be praying a lot today. yesterday, my hubby and I cleaned out our attic!!!! let me just say that we're too old to have had to have done that in the first place, so if you've got plans to use your attic, don't do it. 45 years of accumulated "junk" that should have been thrown away many years before it ever reached the attic. it was a sense of accomplishment!!!! now, to get it all gone thru and hauled off. we've got a good start on that too. let me just say right now, don't keep it if it has to be kept in the attic. if you have plans to use it, put it somewhere that you can use it. don't put it in the attic if you have to use a drop down attic ladder. it's hard enough to get up there when you're young, but when you get old, it's almost impossible to get up there. I could just barely make it up the steps high enough to peek my head up there and see what's left. don't be a hoarder. it's not worth it. I'm just happy we got it all down now. now, we'll spend the next few days recouping and using essential oils on all our aches and pains. hahaha well, that's what I plan doing anyway. sorting the garbage from the stuff that we can take to a resource center that helps people. looking at all the stuff we had gotten up over the years, it makes me wonder how in the world we got it up there in the first place. so, if you're inclined to be a hoarder, just don't do it. rent a storage unit so you can have easy access to it and not have climb a stinking little ladder to get your stuff. this is a case where I'll tell you to do as I say, not as I did. hahaha

A - They’re shady.

picking up at Isaiah 15, when we look at this chapter we can think that God's judgement is too harsh but what it boils to is that God gives every one the opportunity to follow Him and obey Him. we each have the same opportunity. we're all sinful and in need of God's forgiveness, but we must come to Him for that forgiveness, because we all have that same opportunity to do so.
Chapter 16, we see that God will judge those filled with pride, arrogance and boasting. God will deal with all the other more wicked nations just as He dealt with Israel. God is just and fair.
Chapter 17, we can see that it's always important to remember the faithfulness of God and rely Him instead of idols or alliances that have been made with other people or countries.
Chapter 18, this is ripening and pruning, where God has different plans for a person or a country and even though they appear to be flourishing, He will prune them away before they can fully ripen. God will be ultimately worshiped by all the nations that had been evil and wicked.
Chapter 19, God alone, is in control of all the nations and they should all put their trust in Him alone.
Chapter 20, we should not put our faith and trust in anyone other than God. He is the only one that can protect us. we can not save ourselves, only God can save us.
Chapter 21, we must remain vigilant and trust in God's word even when times are hard and tough.
Chapter 22, again, we must trust God and not human beings. actions have consequences and divine judgement will take place. people will always let us down, God won't. we must seek repentance and seek Gods help.
Chapter 23, this is a reminder against pride and that God will judge all nations. God is the one who sets up nations and He is the one who can and will bring them down.
Chapter 24, God will destroy the world because of our sinfulness and wickedness.
Chapter 25, God protects the poor and needy and He conquered death!!!! Praise His Holy Name!!!!
Chapter 26, God will have victory over wickedness and He will hold fast to those who keep their minds on Him. they (we) will have peace, because they (we) trust Him.
next time we pick up with Chapter 27.

well, I guess we'll call it a wrap. I hope and pray that we will all continue to seek after the heart of God in all we do. let us remember those around us who are hurting. we just keep praying for those who are hurting. we keep praying for our world as a whole. knowing that Jesus Christ is Savior of all who will call on His name is enough to keep us praying for the lost. we live in a lost and hurting world. people know they are going to hell and they don't care. some people don't know they are going to hell and a lot of people will tell you they are good, even though they live evil and wicked lifestyles, claiming to be Christians and serving in their glorified night clubs or what ever they are calling them today. they are not churches. churches preach the word of God and they call sin, sin. they don't welcome perverts into the church and give them positions in the church. they are to be welcomed as sinners. churches have gone overboard trying to make the church appealing to the lost. churches should not be appealing to the unsaved world. Christ is the only appealing factor, and He is what should be drawing the lost to the church, not activities that make the church look like the next night club. there should be something found in churches that's not found anywhere else on the planet and that's people living holy lives with God's help!!! that's what's missing from todays modern church. people living worldly lives and expecting to be called christians. there is no such thing as a worldly christian. a worldly christian is a lost sinner, pure and simple. Isaiah is the OT book that tells us about the coming Christ and how eventually all nations will be judged for all their evil and wicked ways. lots of lessons to be learned in the book of Isaiah. just for fun, look up the term "a peg in a sure place". see if you can find out what or who that's referring to. I guess this is where I will end it and we'll see ya next time. blessings of peace and vigilance in these times.
hugs and love, patty
