Bible Study and Happy Spring!!

good morning from my neck of the woods.         it's cool again this morning, but we haven't any of the snow that we could have gotten, so I'm good with that.        today spring has officially sprung.       hahaha         I can't say that I'm unhappy at all, because I'm pretty happy about that.        it means its getting closer to time to start setting some plants in my garden.       I had been aiming to get the started for a strawberry tower in my dollar tree stackables, but that hasn't happened yet.        I may get my soil amended and just plant seeds and leave the towers in the greenhouse and see if they do anything.       we've been so busy with everything else going on around the place, that I've just let the strawberry tower fall to the wayside.       but I know I can get that knocked out.        so I may try to that today or tomorrow.        I had strawberries for a few years, but I wasn't getting as much of a harvest as I wanted while tying up my big greenstalks.         so I took the strawberries our a couple of  years ago.         but I've since gotten some seeds to replace them and I just haven't gotten the seeds started.        maybe this year!!!!             this is kinda what I'm dreaming of again.         my garden in general and strwaberries at the ready.          maybe I'll make it!!!

---------------------------

Isaiah 53,         this is the one chapter that directly points to the New Testament and the promise and coming of Jesus  Christ, called  the Suffering  Servant.        Jesus suffered for my sins.         Jesus died for my sins.         Jesus took on the sins of humanity and brought redemption and salvation for all.           Jesus suffered on our part unjustly.          He could have walked away and not done what the Father had brought Him to do.         He knew what His task on earth was to be.           He knew it would be hard, and the Father knew it would be hard too.         but, they both knew this had to be done and Jesus Christ was the only one who could do it.          Can you imagine knowing that you are despised every where you go and with every breath you take, people hate your guts?           well, that's exactly what Jesus experienced, not because He was a sinful person, because He wasn't.         people work hard to be filled with the devil and all he offers.         I see people asking about things in politics today and they don't want to hear the truth.        they want to hear their skewed version of what they believe.         they want to act like  they  have a  version of christianity, but  if you  disagree  with  them, then you're evil and wicked.       people don't want truth, they don't want to hear truth, they want no part of truth.        these are the people that we need to be very weary of.        they are the ones that happily put Jesus on the cross, having a form of godliness, but not knowing the one true God, just like the churchy people of Jesus's day that killed Him.         Jesus actually came for all of humanity, even the ones who lied about Him, the ones who beat Him, the ones who spat upon Him.        the ones who let Him die.        it was God's plan, but people willingly despised Jesus Christ.          just like they willingly despise Him today.    our actions and beliefs tell all.         the good news is, Jesus is waiting for us to call on Him and to accept Him as our Suffering Servant and Lord and Savior!!!!!           this is the Good News!!!!        this is what our Hope is built on.          our eternal hope is built on Jesus Christ!!!

tomorrow we pick up at Isaiah 54.

--------------------------

well, this is shorter and sweeter than usual.          I have some sourdough bread to get made up.         then I have a couple of dishes to get made up for quick meals, lots of shredding to continue and then still more cooking and a little gardening to try to get done.         I can do all things thru Chris who is my strength!!!!        let's remember to keep searching after the heart of God in all we do.       keep our minds trained on the true things of Christ.         and not focus on the junk that the enemy throws at our feet just to take our eyes away from the cross.         the cross should always be our focus.       I pray that we can keep focused on the Suffering Servant.       blessings of truth and mercy be ours today.

hugs and love, patty
