Bible Study and some delectable treats

good morning my beautiful friends, from my frozen neck of the woods.          hahaha         it's a cool, cold, icy, bitter, brisk winter morning out on my little frozen part of the world.          hahaha      drama, drama, drama!!           ok, 12 degrees.          not the coldest it's ever been, but I AM READY FOR SPRING!!!!!!          yes, I am.      but till then, I'll have to deal with the temps as best as I can.         you know, I don't know why we can't go back to the summer of '24 and take all those days that was over 100 degrees and take off some of those temps and bring that heat forward and put it onto our bitter cold 2025 days.         I'm going to check into that and see if it can be done.        I just know it can be.         hahahaha

nah, that's just me being silly again, but I'll bet I'm not the only person that has thought of that.       hahaha            probably the only person goofy enough to put it in writing.         hahahaha         well, if anyone figures out how to do it, you read the idea here first!!!!          hahaha

------------------

we are starting in the book of Leviticus today.          I don't know how in depth I'll get with my journaling of all the laws that God is giving to Moses.          we'll just have to wait and see about that.

after reading the first 7 chapters, we can see how involved all of these offerings were.        to say the least, sin is a bloody mess.         it truly is.       we see it every time we turn on the news.         we see hard hearts with the intention of harming others.        I have to say that I'm thankful to have been born on this side of the cross.        reading about all the offerings/sacrifices,  I would have been doomed for hell because I could not have kept it all straight.      I'm so thankful that God came down to us in the form of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and died on the cross 1 time, to be the sacrifice for all humanity from that day forward.       I take the cross and what it means for me, for granted sometimes.         I guess we all do, but when I read about all the laws for all the different sacrifices to be made for the different types sin, I'm so thankful that Jesus is my covering and sacrifice and that He is the pleasing aroma that goes to nostrils of our Father.        otherwise, we would all be doomed.

Thank you Jesus for your sacrifice for such a one who is so un-worthy of your sacrifice.         may I live my life for You and point others to You on a daily basis.       amen!!

my husband got out and shoveled snow on saturday  afternoon and while he was out, I was working inside making him a treat .          white almond bark and crushed candy canes.            put in the fridge to set up.

this one is chocolate almond bark with pepita seeds and salted caramel sprinkles.          this was his favorite, but he really like the white bark too.

this is bot them set up and ready to be cut into pieces.

this is a close up of the chocolate.      the pepitas  was really good in this.

the peppermint bark is delicious.       we both enjoyed it a lot.

both containers with our little dab of goodies.

this was really delicious and easy to make.             using aldi almond bark made it a snap.            for each kind, I just used 3 squares of the almond bark and then whatever looked like a good amt of the broken candy canes and pepitas.          the pepitas also came from aldi.

just pop the almond bark in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time and when it starts melting, stir it between the 30 second intervals and when it's all melted and smooth, stir in  your add-ins and then pour it out on a parchment lined cookie sheet.        spread it out as evenly as possible and put in the fridge for a couple of hours or longer and then take it out and cut or break it into pieces.        it's delicious!!

well folks, I pray that our day is blessed and led by the right hand of our loving Father.         may we all be found serving Him in every action and reaction made today.        I hope you're reading along with me and enjoying the process of reading thru Bible in a year or less.       I hope you let the Lord speak to you as you're doing so.         the bible is as relevant today as it was the day God inspired His word to be written.

have a blessed day.         may mercy and grace ours today.         hugs and love, patty
