Bible Study and a little bit of this and that

good morning y'all!!!!!            guess what?          if you guessed more rain, you win!!!!          we had another 2 or 3 inches yesterday, making about 8 and a half or 9 inches so far.         I think I noticed I'm starting to grow gills.        I don't know what that means, but it may mean I'm turning aquatic or something.        hahahaha           just wells to laugh as to cry.         and I am so thankful that God's hand of protection has been on us.          I continue to pray for His safety during this bad weather that we've been having.         I did get some breakfast patties in the freezer for my husband yesterday, so that's not a total loss.         I'm thrilled to have gotten done.         I need to get my breakfast jars made for me too, this morning is the last breakfast jar I have, so I may need to whip up some of those today.        also, I got all my garden seedling starts taken back to the garage and put in the sprout house.        we're going to have 3 or 4 nights below freezing, so I needed to get them back in the garage.         I also noticed that my hydroponic unit with strawberry seeds in it has 3 or 4 that has actually sprouted.        I'm so thrilled, I hope and pray that others sprout also.     I was just looking on friday to see how long it took for strawberry seeds to sprout and it said between 12 and 48 days.          so mine was started on March 28th and I'm thinking that's pretty good for mine to be sprouting already.         woohoo!!!         I'm looking forward to getting some of my garden going.         what are you doing in your garden?

giggle for the day:

Q - What did one snowman say to the other snowman?

A - It smells like carrots over here!

😂😂😂😂😂😂

picking up with Ezekiel Chapter 21,             even during the toughest times, God's purpose prevails.      what may look like chaos to us, is the divine purpose of God.         we must trust God's plan even when we don't understand it.           is that easy to do?   absolutely not, but we pray and give our fears and any unbelief to God.          God is impartial and asks us to live holy lives and to seek His mercy.         again, continue to seek after the heart of God in every thing we do.          God's message is hard to share but that's we're called to do, with compassion.          live a life that honors Christ and live a life that is awaiting His return.          God is in control of everything, regardless of what it looks like with our eyes, His purpose will come out on top every time.

Ezekiel 22,           sin carries a heavy consequence and sinful nations will face God's judgement.         we need to stand in the gap where we see need, injustice and unrighteousness.          God will judge any nation that focuses on corruption, idolatry and moral decay.         I think we are living in these times for sure.          when perversion of all kinds is accepted in main stream life as normal, something is very wrong.        all these perverted ways of life, God has called an abomination and if we support this perversion, we are NOT Christians and we count on being judged just like the nation that Ezekiel was speaking Gods words to.         wicked leaders are responsible for what they expect from the community at large.         if they support perversion, then that's what they push.        no matter what is forced upon us, we as Christians have to live lives of integrity and we must pray for our leaders.          we need to be interceders through prayer and our actions for those around us.         work for a society that reflects the love of God and justice.

Ezekiel 23,          we have a relationship with God and we must keep that pure.        some were committing spiritual adultery.         we have to keep our commitment to God pure and make sure our actions reflects that purity.         we must be vigilant in our modern day influences of idols that can take us away from our relationship with God.         we are set apart, to live holy lives for God.         if the way we  live  looks  like  the  rest of  the world, then there is nothing holy about us and we are living a fools life.        repentance is the first step towards reconciliation and renewal.

Ezekiel 24,          to serve God calls for personal sacrifice.        sometimes that personal sacrifice is hard to bare, but we have to be willing to serve God.         personal sacrifice will be something that we are all familiar with at some point in time.         during times of loss we have to realize that Gods purposes are for our good and His glory.         God will be glorified.          God's discipline is an expression of His love.           even in discipline, He offers hope of reconciliation thru repentance.

Ezekiel 25,           God's justice is impartial, even thru His love for us.          those who harm God's people will face divine judgement.          we can count on that.         when people take pride and joy over the suffering of God's people, you can trust that they will be dealing with God's divine judgement.        trust that God sees all injustice that's taking place and He will deal with it.        people had taken great pleasure in the downfall of Israel.         make sure that we are not taking pleasure in the downfall of others.        pray for nations and leaders asking God to guide them in making the right decisions.        God is in control of all of history, past present and future, find peace in knowing that God has it all worked out already.

next time we pick up at Ezekiel Chapter 26.

---------------------------------

well, I think this is just about it for the day.         may we all be blessed and know that God is in control of absolutely everything.        I pray that we all have a great day today.          pray for those that you know are hurting and in pain.          please pray for a friend of mine who's husband has been put in hospice home care because there's no way they can help him.          he actually opted out of them trying to help him.          just pray for him and his wife as they go thru this journey together.        pray for God's mercy on both of them.       blessings of peace and mercy be ours today.

hugs and love, patty

Bible Study and Breakfast Jars and Baked Buns

good morning beautiful friends!!!!          I hope and pray that everyone is doing well today.          I pray that we all have a victorious day, a great day, and day that will be filled with praise and adoration for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.         yesterday was a cooler day than I expected it to be.         I was hoping for a little higher temps, but we got what we got.         the high was 52 degrees.         it wasn't bad at all, but I was just wanting a little warmer.           and.........this morning it was a spicy hot 19 degrees!!!!         who knows what it will be in the morning??        but,  you know me, always wanting warmer temps till I'm wanting cooler temps.          hahaha          well, at least I can admit it.

-------------------------------

well, I guess it's all in a weeks work, but we'll go to the kitchen again for a quick "2 minutes in the kitchen with me".            it was time to bake buns again.         that time rolls around pretty quickly when we have hamburgers or turkey burgers.          as a general rule, most of the buns are for my husband's breakfast.         but we've been enjoying a burger or tow, so I have to bake more often.        that's ok too.    I put them in the muffin top pan, frozen, let them thaw, rise and bake.  so good.

in the pic below, you see my breakfast jars.        I make 10 at a time and let me tell you, they are delicious!!!         it is time consuming, but it's worth it.        peanut butter powder, old fashioned oats, ground flax, chia seeds, cranberry and citrus powder, lots of powdered ginger, a pkt of stevia, real vanilla flavoring, water to mix it all together with.       then the morning I eat it, I'll put a little more ginger in it and a splash of coconut milk.           stir that together really good and wow wee, it's good.

so now you know what I start my day with.        hahaha          but it is good.          it's also good for ya too.

-----------------------

todays little "giggle for the day":

Q - Do you want to hear a pizza joke?

A - Nahhh, it's too cheesy!

😂😂😂😂😂

oh now, come on, the cheesier the better, right!!  hahaha

------------------------

we pick up at Psalm 65 with God's favor on everything.           Gods favor is on mankind as well as all the earth.         God controls the mountains, the seas, and the turmoil of the nations!!        God makes the sunrise and the sunset shout for joy!!!

in Psalm 66 we see the writhe proclaiming "How awesome and mighty are Your works!!!!        God is in control of all things.         regardless of what it looks like with human eyes, God is in control.

in Psalm 67, nations are encouraged to praise God.          what a wonderful world it would be if all nations did praise God.       I can't imagine what that world would be like.

in Psalm 68, we see those who hate God are fleeing from Him.          the wicked will perish, but the righteous will rejoice in the Lord.       the righteous will be found seeking after the heart of God.      the Lord is the God who bears our burdens!!!          thank You God for bearing my burdens!!!

Psalm 69, we see David once again in anguish over the guilt of his sin.         he knew God to be a merciful God and he was pleading for God to rescue him from the mud, where there is no foothold.     he was pleading for mercy that could only come from God.

Psalm 70 finds David asking the Lord to hurry and help him.         when I read these Psalms, I am reminded once again that it's ok for us to plead with God on our own behalf.        sometimes, I think we have a bit of guilt for asking on our own behalf.       but God want's us to seek His help and He also wants us to be thankful for His help.

Psalm 71, the writer has taken refuge in God.         what better place to refuge!!!         God is our rock and our fortress and we can dwell in Him and not fear.         he said his tongue would tell others of His righteousness.       do we tell others of the righteousness of of our Lord and Savior?        we sure should be.

Psalm 72 is a Psalm that is calling for leaders to be godly.       wow, wouldn't that be awesome if all leaders were godly!!!!          we have no idea what it means or what it would look like if our world leaders acknowledged God in all things and lived accordingly.

Psalm 73 is a struggle with faith and doubt.        we can't look forward without thinking eternally.       if just see what we see, and never look to the eternal, we are doomed.         everything we do should be pointing to our eternal destiny in His presence.        we see things short sighted and we should know that the  wicked will eventually get their rewards.

Psalm 74 is the struggle with our faith while there is suffering and evil all around us.        I don't know if anyone can relate to this, but I sure do.       I can't reconcile it in mind, but I know that God is control of it all.       I don't have to understand, because He does.

Psalm 75 declares God as the judge!!!      there is a scripture in Genesis that says something like this, "shall not the Judge of all the do what it right!"         I'll never be able to think like God, so I trust Him to what is right at all times.         I may never understand it all, but I'll do the best I can, with His help, to try to understand.          I will try to praise Him, even when I don't understand.

Psalm 76 is a call to  celebrate God's victory and protection.        as we celebrate God's victory in our lives it should cause us to fear God and also honor God.         God is mighty and deserved to be praised, we could never praise Him enough for all He's done for us.

Psalm 77 is about remembering all the works of God in our lives in order to find comfort when the next troubles come along, and they will.         we just have to look back on everything God has done for us in the past, to know that He will help us in the future.

Psalm 78 is a reminder that we fail, but God doesn't.     we make mistakes, God doesn't.        God's love is everlasting and He helps mankind thru miracles.       we are to trust God and obey Him.        when we keep repeating the same mistakes, we face the consequences.          what are we passing on to the younger generations?          we need to be passing on our faith in God, thru the shed blood of Jesus Christ.         if we're not passing that on, we're failing these younger generations, miserably.        I think we can look around in today's society and see that we have failed miserably in passing on our faith in a mighty God, to the younger generations.        we see a sorry lot of people these days, doing abominable things and we've taught them that it's ok to go against God.        we are leading these generations right straight to hell, while holding their hands.       shame on us.

Psalm 79 shows us what sorrow over our sin should look like.        we should be devastated by our sin, enough to turn form our sin and do better with God's help.       if you're not grieving over your sin, why?

Psalm 80 is showing us what repentance looks like.        we should be begging God to intervene in our lives, in our country, in our world and give us all the hearts to seek after God's heart.       God, please save us from our trouble, please save us from ourselves, please save us from the ones who would do harm to Your people.

next time we pick up at Psalm 81

-------------------------

well, I guess we'll call it warp and close up shop today.         I hope and pray that we all have a great day today and that in everything we do, we'll remember to seek after the heart of God.        I pray that with my last breath, I'll be found seeking after the heart of God.         sometimes I struggle with the little land mines that the enemy throws at my feet for me to stumble over.        but I do try to turn it all over to God when I recognize what's going on.         I know some of y'all are going thru the same thing.       so we'll just pray for each other daily.          blessings of favor and victory for us all today, in the name of Jesus Christ.

hugs and love, patty

Bible Study and my breakfast jars

good morning y'all!!!         I hope you are doing well today.        the sun is shining this morning and it make me wonder if old Punx Phil seen his shadow today.       I say we put too much weight in what a groundhog predicts.       hahahaha        but then again, what do I know.         well, I know that the weather is gonna be what the weather is gonna be, with or without a groundhog.         but I have found that the groundhog is better at predicting weather than most of the weather apps for the phone.       my apps lie to me all the time.         in fact, I call them little liars.         hahahaha        it doesn't hurt their feelings at all, but it makes me feel a little better.        hahahaha          we are supposed to be getting some more rain sometime this week.         we'll have to wait and see.         it's feeling like early spring, but it's still very much winter.        I hope all the trees remember that it's still winter, especially the fruit trees.       oh well, we'll see what happens and just realize that God knows what He's doing, us not so much.         so, let's make today a good day, with it's still today.        sounds like a plan.

------------------

ok, hop to it, you know the drill.        hahahaha        join me in the kitchen for a quick "2 minutes in the kitchen with me".         this is a quick look at what I have for breakfast every morning.        I've been eating this every morning for several years and it just suits me.         there isn't really a recipe, just all the things that I like and a lot of things that are really good for me.

you can see the oats, then there is peanut butter powder with ground flax on top of that, chia seeds with powdered cranberries on top and crushed stevia on top of that, ginger, real vanilla and then a bag of ginger turmeric shots.        I mix all that together and it's just the flavor I love and all the benefits from all the good stuff in it.

the stevia I grew and dehydrated the leaves and crushed them.            the cranberries, I dehydrated them and powdered them with some oranges that I also dehydrated.           the cranberry and citrus flavor is something I love.          I also grind my own flax seeds.         I keep that jar in the fridge with ground flax seed all the time.         it's easy to grind them plus it's a whole lot cheaper to grind them than to buy flax meal.          most of the time the flax meal is already rancid.        so that's why I grind it myself.        also if you use flax seed whole, you don't get any of the benefits from the flax seed.         it has to be crushed or ground for the body to absorb the nutrients from the flax seeds.

I mix it with as much water as it takes to get it stirred up real good.         I make 10 of these jars at a time and keep them in the fridge.           every morning I'll take one out and put about 2 tablespoons of coconut milk in and stir it up real good.          the coconut milk will give it a creaminess that I really like too.          this is a breakfast that will keep me going for hours and not get hungry.          plus is also a good breakfast to keep me regular too.

you can add as little or as much of any ingredient as you want.          you can omit or add anything that you want to add.         it's just a matter of finding what really does your taste buds good.         this is the combo that works with me, but it  may evolve or change with the next batch I make.        it's really good.           give it a try, you may love it too, or do your own version.
--------------------------
today we pick up at 2 Samuel Chapter 2.         David has been a man after God's own heart.      David lusting after another mans wife lead to murder and blood shed, by David.         David had done evil in the eyes of the Lord.      God reminded David, thru the prophet Nathan, all the things that God had for David and would have continued to bless David.        but he done this heinous thing.        David recognized his sin against God and told him that God would let David live, but the child of his Bathsheba would die.        sin always has a hefty price.        sometimes we see the price, sometimes we don't see the price.       but sin always comes with a hefty price tag.       sin just keeps happening and it was found out.      when others take revenge in their own hands, it's always bad.       but sin has to be dealt with.        it's sad to say, but people have always been ready willing and able to do the wrong thing and we see a lot that happening right here.        brother against brother.     son against father.      and none of it's good.         evil happens when we shut God out of our decision making.    as a matter of fact, we've been seeing a lot that here lately.        but even now, God will exact His revenge.        we just have trust that and make sure that we are not part of the problem against God.        as my husband always says, "people gonna be people".          we just have to make sure that we are God fearing people.

well pick up next time at 2 Samuel Chapter 16.

you know what, we sin.       we all sin.         every day, we sin.        we even choose to sin.       sometimes we set the stage for generational sin, that just keeps happening.        we have the power, with God's help to break those generational sin habits.        but we have to want it.         God still is waiting to help us just as He helped David and his family.        we just have to call on God to help us.       He will.
------------------

I pray that we all have a wonderful day today.     let's keep God first place in all we do.        enjoy the sunshine today if at all possible.        may mercy, grace and peace be ours today.
hugs and love, patty
