Bible Study and another fast food in the fridge

good morning dear loved ones of God.           I hope you had a great night of rest and I hope the sun is shining and warm at your place.         I look forward to warmer temps as I'm sure a lot of us do.       it was 29 degrees yesterday morning, can I say brrrrrr?           well, I just did.       hahaha        we got out and done our walk and I don't mind telling you it was kinda chilly.       but it was good to get that done so we could move on with the rest of our day.          oh, and I have 5 baby strawberry plants.          they are just wee little things right now, but I have high hopes for them.         so I'm hoping that the other 7 will go ahead and sprout.          I have 11 tomatoes that are up and doing well, and 1 that hasn't sprouted yet, in my hydroponics and I'd love to get them up-potted pretty soon so I can get some more peppers started.        a lot of my pepper seeds just molded in the pods last time and that's not good.         but I've started spritzing a little peroxide on anything that looks like it's forming a mold or algae and it seems to be working this go around.          so we'll keep doing that and see what comes of it.          ok, let's get on with the blog post.

----------------------------------

so, let's do another quick "2 minutes in the kitchen with me".        so yesterday, I got another fan favorite made and in the fridge for our fast food meals.         and that is chicken corn chowder.         this is what it looked like before I put the lid on my insignia electric pressure cooker.         don't look like much now, but just wait.           hahaha

you still can't see it very well but, wowzers, this is delicious.           once it was cooked in epc, I added a block of cream cheese, a bag of velveeta cheese sauce and a cup of black pepper gravy mix.         those 3 things really make this a fabulous dish.

it's thick and creamy and tastes so good.            it pairs well with the cornbread swirls I make.          the recipe for this is on my blog somewhere.

----------------------------------

giggle for the day:

Q - What do you call a hen who counts her own eggs?

A - A mathema-chicken!

😂😂😂😂😂😂

now that's one smart momma!!!!       hahahaha

-------------------------------------

we will pick up with Ezekiel Chapter 37 today,          if we are not in the word of God, we have no idea of how limitless His power is.          we see God and His limitless power on every page of His word.      He brings the dead back to life.        without God, we are helpless and hopeless!!!       some of may have been walking dead and not even realize it until we see clearly where we have been and Who brought us back from the land of the dead.        God's promises brings peace and restoration and life anew.        we are all just a sack of dry useless bones until God intervenes, and with the breath of God, we become new creatures!!!!!    the only way for dry bones to live is by the breath of God!!!!       praise God!!       when we recognize the dry bones in our lives, speak Gods words over them.         we may be the only that can speak God's word over our own situation, if we speak God's own words, in faith, over your life.       He will hear those words.        if you have a trusted friend or a trusted pastor, have either to speak the word of God over you life, in faith and see what God will do.        no circumstance is too big or too bad for God to cover.          the Holy Spirit will bring renewal and transformation.          holding on to our faith in God, that He can fix what's broken in our lives, is the hope that we all can have.       not only in our personal lives, but also in the world too.

Chapter 38,           hold on to the hope that we have that God will intervene in our troubles.        we can trust Him when we face hard and trying times.        we live in times where we have to be clothed with the armor of God that the book of Ephesians tells us about.         we should be living lives that reflect the holiness of God.

Chapter 39,           God's grace and mercy is ready to cleanse and restore us back to Him, we just have to want that for ourselves.         we live in times of global turmoil and knowing that God will prevail and His plans will work out should give us hope.        it gives me hope knowing that no matter what, God is in control.        ask God to help us live our lives in such a way that brings honor to His name and pray for peace across this globe.

Chapter 40,            this chapter inspires and encourages us to hold on to our faith and hope, no matter how dark and hard the times are.          we need to know that God has plans for restoration.        we are called to be holy and set apart for His honor.         again, seeking after the heart of God is the way we live set apart and holy lives.         without God, it's impossible.        when we are seeking after God He will show us, through His word and the Holy Spirit, what He wants for our lives.         He wants so much better for us than we could ever imagine or understand.        one year, my word for the year was "anticipation".          to live in anticipation and see how God worked in my life when I knew He was directing my every step.         when we live with anticipation we also live with excitement as to what we know God can and will do!!!!         He is faithful!!!!           ask God for wisdom and discernment to be able to understand Him and follow His will.         again, this is seeking after the heart of God.

Chapter 41,         do we realize that God is in every detail of our lives?          the journey thru this life calls for living holy and set apart lives.          we can't live a holy life if our lives look just like the rest of the world.        we are set apart, separate from the wickedness we see around us.        when we participate in the ills of society, we can't be holy and we're definitely not living set apart lives.      God wants order in our lives.        the world we live in is about as haphazard as anything can be, there is no order.        there is no absolute truth.         absolute truth doesn't even exist in most churches today.        if you want to know what absolute truth is, you'll have to find that in the word of God.       that's what we have been doing this whole year so far is learning about the absolute truths of God.          do you have an appointed time each day to just devote to spending time with God, in His word and just breathing Him in and breathing self out?          if not, why?          we each have a part in the plan of God, let's grab on to God's plan and let Him direct our steps.

Chapter 42,         when we look at the design of the temple, we see that there are separate rooms, this highlights the separation between the holy and the profane.         we live in a profane world and we need separation from the profane so that we focus on the holiness of God.         just like the priests did back in this time, we should be living our lives purposefully and with dedication.         may our actions glorify God in every way.

next time we will pick up with Chapter 43.

---------------------------------

I hope we all have a great day today.          may we continue to seek after the heart of God.         I hope that the weather gets warm and stays a little warmer than it's been.       may grace, mercy and restoration be ours today.

hugs and love, patty

Bible Study and Hotdog Buns

good morning beautiful people!!!!          are you ready for a good day?          well, I am and I am declaring today a good day, so let's take advantage of it.         I have a lot to try to get done this week and I hope I can accomplish it all.          I'm gonna try, with the Lord's help, to get some seeds started this week.       that's my plans, but my plans  are not etched in stone.        so if God sees fit, that's what I'll do.       I look forward to it.       we'll be going to see my Momma sometime this week too.        that's always a blessing and we always look forward to seeing her.        oh yeah, I was going thru some seeds today, determining  what I want to  get started and  I had lost some  onion seeds last year that I had saved from some onions that I had grown from green onions from Aldi.      it took 2 years to get seeds, and when they got dry, I saved the seeds.        well, somehow, I lost those seeds.         it was like they didn't even exist, but I knew they did.        well, I opened a green bean seed box today and guess what was in it?         go ahead, guess.        yup, that's right, my onion seeds!!!!         hahaha          they do exist!!!!        I did save them!!!!!         and I'm so thrilled that I did find them.          I hope to plant them this fall.       I was so tickled that I actually found them.         I just knew they had gotten accidentally thrown away.         so yay, I can rest easy now, having found my onions seeds.

---------------------------

let's run to th kitchen for a "2 minutes in the kitchen with me" segment.            I bake a bread.          I bake a LOT of bread!!!!!          I had gotten this thing from amazon that's used to make the long french type loaves of bead.          I never make or made those kinds of loaves, so it was pretty useless to me until I started making what I call hotdog buns.         when I'm making the buns for my husband's breakfast, I've got to where I'll use 4 of the bun balls and make hotdog buns.            I'll just make them into longish logs and either freeze them immediately or put them on the long thing and let them rise and bake them.

I take a little piece of parchment and cut it just to fit what I think will be the size of the buns and let them rise and then bake them.           the parchment prevents the dough from getting stuck in the tiny holes.         actually, I don't know if the dough would get stuck or not, I just didn't want to take the chance.          hahaha

but when they are done baking, you can see that they are beautiful!!!          our favorite meal from these are using the Aldi chicken apple sausage.         the sausages are pretty large, so I'll thaw one sausage out and cut it in half down the middle lengthways and we'll each get a half of a sausage on our bun and that is plenty.         I'll put the sausage in the air fryer along with our potato and sweet potato bites that I make and keep frozen in the freezer.         this makes for a really good meal and relatively quick.         it's another of what I call my "fast food" options.           I hope if you haven't tried making long buns before that you'll be inspired to give it a try.         this is just one more item that I can make, that I don't even have to think about buying at the store.        I haven't bought bread at the store in years, and I pray that I never have to buy store bought again!!

giggle for the day:

Q - Where do polar bears keep their money?

A- -In a snow bank.

😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

----------------

we pick up with Ecclesiastes 9,     do you make plans and count on doing those plans?      most   everyone that died today, had some kind of  plans made.        we can't predict what we'll be doing tomorrow or next week, only God knows those things.       we should enjoy life while we have it and be grateful and thankful to God every day for the gift of life life.       and we should be helping others along the way.

Ecclesiastes 10,        "A wise person’s heart directs him toward the right, but the foolish person’s heart directs him toward the left."          if you ever wonder what the difference between the left and right is, here it is!!!          even the bible makes it clear that a person who is leaning towards the left in their way of thinking are fools.        I didn't say it, the bible said it.      fools are always at a loss and we are seeing a LOT of that here lately!!!!

Ecclesiastes 11,        "cast your bread upon the waters......."            be generous when you can be generous!!!          we all have it within our ability to be generous, God will make your generosity find the ones who need your generosity.       you may never live to see where your energy, effort and generosity went, but God will see where it goes.        just do the right thing at all times because we will be rewarded for it.        store up treasures in heaven, because this life is short.

Ecclesiastes 12,     a lot of times, people don't even think about the things of God until they are old and most of their lives wasted on foolishness.          but this chapter is encouraging us to think about God in our youth.         how do we get the young people to think about God right now, while they are young?      take them to church, let them hear and see their parents making God a priority.        when we get older we can have vision loss and hearing loss, both of which I have and it's no fun, and my body is getting weaker with age.        I'm so thankful that I have a relationship with God that gives me strength and hope for my eternal future.          we need to be prepared for the time when God will judge us all for our actions.         my our actions be judged as good and righteous.        may we all fear God and keep His commandments!!!

next time we will pick up with Song of Solomon.

-----------------------------

well, I think we'll call it a wrap for today.          I pray that we'll all continue to search after the heart of God in all that we do everyday.         may we fear God and keep His commandments.       let's make God a priority in our lives and encourage others to do the same.        I hope  we all have a great day today.      be a blessing to someone today.        enjoy some sunshine today, I think that's something that we plan on doing today.          blessings of strength and energy be ours today.

hugs and love, patty

Bible Study and chicken corn chowder

good morning my friends.           I pray that we all had a restful night of sleep and ready to face the new day ahead of us.         I look forward to another warm, sunshiny day.         the temps finally got warm enough yesterday to melt a blob of icy snow that had been in the shade by our deck ever since the first snow in early january.        we kept watching it and it did get snowed on one other time, but figured it was hanging on for a few more inches.          no doubt, we'll have some more snow.        hopefully it will be later on, so it won't hang around for a month.         I am looking forward to getting some seeds started for my container garden.        maybe by the end of the week of the first of next week.         I'll try to remember to take pics.

---------------

it's time to crack out the electric pressure cooker again.          also time for another "2 minutes in the kitchen with me".             we love to keep chicken corn chowder in the fridge.           it's one of our favorite fast foods that I like to have on hand.           it just takes about 30 minutes in the epc and then time to get some of the cheesy ingredients mixed into it after it's cooked.         it is fabulous!!!!!!

I really wish you could smell this right now, you'd be hooked just by smelling it.          it's dynamite!!!

we both love it and I know you would too.        this is what I consider our fast food.      I always have a homemade cornbread swirl to go with the chicken corn chowder.          the combo is the perfect meal for us.        I hope you try it sometime.     I think the recipe is on here somewhere, just look for chicken corn chowder and it should pop up.

--------------------------

picking up in Judges Chapter 19 and the Levites are still without a leader and they are still constantly sinning against God.       evil and wickedness has been in every generations since the beginning of time and it's still here in all it's evil and wicked fashion.          God helped the collective men of Israel have revenge for an evil and wicked act.        when God is in it, success is at hand.        there was still no and everyone was doing right in their own eyes.        they were not doing what was right in the eyes of God.

next we come to the book of Ruth and they still had judges and no king.          the story of Ruth is a beautiful story of redemption.         it is just one of the resemblances of the redemption of Christ in the Old Testament.        a very special picture of what real love looks like.         and in this chapter, the lineage of David is shared.

now we go into the first book of Samuel.        to have the boldness and faith of Hannah!!!!!

I hope and pray that God is revealing to your heart, all that He wishes to.         we are living in evil and wicked days today and I see that no matter the time in which we live, God wants our heart, our love and worship and He wants to give us everything He has.       just imagine an eternity with Him.      I hope and pray that's what we're all striving for.       I don't understand everything I read in the bible, why this happened or why that happened, but I do know that God provided for me, the perfect sacrifice, in His Son, Jesus Christ who is my Redeemer.       I don't know why He done that, but I'm forever grateful that He did!!!!

we will continue with 1 Samuel 3 next time.

-------------------------

well, I guess this is where we will call it quits today.          I hope and pray that we all have a great day and that we remember to keep God first place in all that we do.          blessings of grace and mercy be ours today.          hugs and love, patty
