Did somebody say green beans?

good afternoon lovely friends!!!!           I pray that where ever y'all are that your day has been wonderful and that you give God the praise and glory for it.          I've had a good day and a pretty good week, so I can't complain a whole lot.            was just out on the deck working on my "deck-stead".          I'm not a homesteader, I'm a decksteader.          well, it make perfect sense to me, since I garden on my deck.

anyway, I put the pics for this post up on June 12th and I forgot about it.         so here I am now trying to remember.           hahaha            at least it's pretty self explanatory.

this is the first bowl of green beans I picked and then I decided to go back and take pics as I cleaned out my 2 raised beds.             these beans had went crazy and grew taller than I had expected them to grow and they spilled over the back of the deck area going down the ramp.           there was a ton of beans that I couldn't get to.           so, I took my garden shears and started cutting them off at the surface of the soil and picking the beans.             in the pic below, the first bed is half empty and what's in the first pic came from that area.

in the pic below, all the beans are cut and picked and I got the bed cleaned up real good and ready to replant.

in the pic below is what came from the second half of the first bed.           I just now noticed that the deck is wet.          that's because it was drizzling while I was picking the beans.            I was wet, but not from sweat.          I'll take that any day over being hot and wiping sweat from my eyes.

this pic is of all the beans that came from that first bed.          not to mention the other beans that I had already picked and we had eaten.          there's nothing like homegrown food, and these beans are wonderful.

this next pic is of the some of the beans from the second bed of green beans.             some of those were yellow wax green beans and talking about good, these are.

this pic has both pickings from the second bed, there was some green ones in there too.

the next pic is of both beds cleaned out and ready to be planted.         that was a breath of fresh air just to seem cleaned up, but I don't mind telling you that I can't wait to see the next batch up and growing like gang busters.          I may try for  a third crop when the second crop gets done.         I have can poles in the corners and along the edges of the beds with pool noodles on the ends of the cane poles.          that's to prevent the cane poles from tearing the mesh that I use to cover the beds when I first plant them or also to put frost covers up with.

the last pic is of the mesh covers that I made to cover these beds with to keep squirrels and birds and cats out of my garden.          I have 4 of these beds and I have covers for them that I've made and they work well.        I've got more of the mesh that I need to make more of the covers for a couple more smaller raised beds and I need to make some for my strawberry towers.           right now, I'm using 2 of the covers like what's in the pic on my strawberry towers and it works, but they need their own covers.       just a few inches shorter than the ones on there right now.

I'm enjoying my garden this year and I hope if any y'all have a garden, that you're enjoying yours too.    there's just something about trying to grow a few things for your family.         I've learned to just grow what we like.           last year I had several types of eggplant, we're not even crazy about it.          so I'm not wasting prime real estate on stuff we're not crazy about.           makes sense to me, don't it to you.

well, I guess that's about it for this afternoon.           always remember that when you up of the morning, it's because God has blessed you with another day.         sometimes it takes a while for me to remember to thank Him for the blessing of the day, but I always try to get around to thanking Him.          it's all because of Him.          it's nothing that you or I do to the make the number of our days longer, it all about Him!!!           so thank Him for all His blessings and share with someone in your sphere of influence that God is good all the time.            they may need to hear it.           you never know when someone will be blessed just by you telling someone that God loves them.

I pray everyone has a wonderful evening and a peaceful night of healing rest and sleep.        and remember to eat your green beans!!!!          blessing y'all, love and hugs, patty

Peace

good morning beautiful friends.           I pray that where ever y'all are this morning that you are praising God for the day.         some of us may not feel like praising Him, but we should anyway.         I keep telling myself that it doesn't matter how I feel, it's what I know.        there's a big difference between "feels and knows", and sometimes we forget.

it's beautiful sunshiny morning in my neck of the woods.         but the last time I checked, there was a possibility for rain today.       we'll just have to wait and see what happens.        a good slow steady rain is always welcome and I pray that's what we get, if it does rain.

Where do we find Peace?

*****Isaiah 26:3 "You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You."*****

Chapter 26 of Isaiah, in some translations has the title as "A song of Praise".     This song of praise is addressed to God in the form of a prayer, not petitioning God for something, but making a statement to God agreeing with God and proclaiming His work.     The people had honor for God and only God. Their hope was in God.     Just as our hope is in God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Verse 3 talks of peace. Perfect peace is a gift from God.     Peace does not come from anyone else or anywhere else.     We can search a lifetime for peace, but we will never find it, till we trust in Him. When we place our confidence in God, through the Blood of Christ, then we can have peace over the things of this world that tries to steal our joy and contentment.

People are striving for world peace.      You can't mandate peace, you can't legislate peace, you can't make peace a law that has to be followed.      Peace only comes thru that "individual, personal" relationship with God, through Jesus Christ.       Keep your mind on God!      If you don't have a personal relationship with Christ, you don't have peace.      It's just that simple.      Peace is based on our "steadfast" trust in God.

Do you have enough trust in God to say, "what ever happens, I will trust God"?       This is where the rubber meets  the  road  for  me, how  about you?         That trust produces internal peace, personal peace.       That kind of trust in God, on a personal basis; each individual having peace; CAN bring about peace  on a larger scale.       That is the only way this unsettling world will ever know peace. Individually.

If you know Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, thank Him for that and the peace that comes from having a relationship with Him.        If you know people that don't have a relationship with Christ; and we all do; put those people on your prayer list.       We also should pray for peace.

The peace that I pray for people to have is the peace that passes all understanding, and it comes only from God.        May we all have peace in our hearts today and stay focused of God and all He's doing for us, through the Blood of Christ.

may blessings of "perfect peace" be ours today and everyday, as we "keep our minds stayed on Him"!! hugs y'all!!!

Who......

good morning beautiful friends.          I hope it's a wonderful day in your neck of the woods.          it is in mine.           right now, it's sprinkling and that's ok.          I do pray for those who are and have been under a flood watch and really bad weather though.          I was just out in my garden jungle on the deck and picked some green beans.         I'm actually cleaning out the 2 raised beds that have green beans in them now and hoping to replant this afternoon.          but when it started to rain, I cleaned up the mess and wen inside.        so here's to hoping I get my second round going before long.        what I had planned on doing was putting in a few green beans in about 3 weeks after I had planted the first round, but.........I planted the first round too thick and they became a huge ugly mass, but they produced a lot of beans.         plus, these got a lot taller than was supposed to.         I use all the seeds I have, but look for more in the future that don't get as tall as these did.         they're supposed to be bush beans, but I think they may have gotten these mixed up or, or, or I possibly done a really good job growing them and they outgrew themselves.         hahaha           nah, it wasn't that, they just got a lot taller than they should have.          at any rate, we'll have a few green beans to put in the freezer and I hope I can another batch and possibly a 3 batch this year.           3 batches is really ambitious, but it's possible, so we'll see.         I hope and pray if anyone is gardening this year that you have an abundance of fun and food.

Who do you believe in?

I just seen something a little while ago that said "if you believe in nothing else, always believe in yourself".

I'm sorry to tell you, but "self" can never be believed in.         especially me, my"self".       I've never done anything to be believed in, but I know Who has.         that "Who" is Jesus Christ!!!!!         believe in Jesus Christ!!!!!!!             believe in what He has done for you!!!!!!

question: what have you done for you?
answer: nothing but sin and shame is what you've done.

it's what we've all done.         so if you see something that says to believe in yourself, and you're inclined to believe it, just don't.          because you've not done anything to boast and believe in yourself about.

if, by chance, you've done something, trust me, it's because it was God-ordained!!       it wasn't you!!     it was Him, even if you're not a Christ follower, it was still God. nothing else.

so, if you're inclined to believe in yourself, get over it. believe in Jesus Christ and make it official.

accept Him as your Lord and Savior today and then you'll really have someone to believe in!!!      believe only in what Christ has done and NOT in our selfish selves!!!!

blessings as we believe only in Christ!!         happy day.        hugs and love to all

Ever wonder just who you are?

good morning beautiful friends.        I pray that you day has started off well and that it's a "blessed day to have a have a blessed day".           it is a little gloomy here in my neck of the woods this morning, looking like rain and I kinda hope we get rain so I don't have to water my "deckstead" other wise known as the "the jungle".         I guess that's a good thing.         I noticed this morning that I have plants that I'm gonna have to get tied up, they are falling over and if they get wet, they may completely break out of the containers.        anyway, that's what's going on here.

just a little something this morning to give us a good start to our week.         I don't know where this came from, if I did, I would give credit.         but these are just a few of the verses in the Bible, God's Word, that tells us exactly who we are.         These are God's Word's, not mine.       so as you read them, find them in your bible and mark them so they are easy  to find.         look at them daily until you can agree with the Word God.         sometimes it's hard for us to see ourselves as God sees us.        but we just have to trust Him in this.        the enemy wants us to not know just how God does see us.

read these verses aloud, so your ears can hear the words.         when I hear words, they have a tendency to stick with me better than just reading to myself.        there is power in hearing God's Word.        God's Word is powerful and we can use His Words to know  who  we  are.        you  may  be  the only person in your corner encouraging you on, and that's ok.         because God's Word is sufficient!!!           we all know a lot of hurting people and we can pass these words of encouragement on to them.         I pray that God will bless everyone who reads this and that they can know He is with them at all times.

let's go out this week and make a difference in the part of the world we live in.          we may not be able to change the whole world, but can change the lives of the people we come in contact , and that can end up changing their world.         make the difference.         be the change.

blessings of peace be upon us all as we face the week ahead.          love and hugs, patty
